Hadley has been teaching movement since 2013 and came to yoga first. It shifted something in her mentally and set her on this path. She found Pilates a few years later while working through back, hip, and shoulder issues of her own and couldn’t get enough. That personal experience shapes how she teaches, she knows what it feels like to move better than you did before, and that’s what she’s after for every client.
She’s developed a style that blends classical foundations with a contemporary approach, and strength training has always been part of the mix, both in how she teaches and how she moves herself. She’s drawn to clients navigating real physical challenges, whether that’s SI joint dysfunction, hip or shoulder issues, pelvic floor and core rebuilding, or pre and postnatal transitions. Watching someone move better than they did when they walked in never gets old for her, in private sessions or in a group setting.
Hadley and her husband Joe made the move to Bellingham from Cincinnati and are already pretty smitten with the Pacific Northwest. When she’s not teaching you’ll find her hiking, kayaking, buried in a book, or in the kitchen cooking with Joe. She could eat Thai food every day without complaint. Their blue heeler Appa rounds out the crew and is, by her own admission, the love of her life.
She’s thrilled to be joining the JOP community.
